Federal Solar Tax Credit
The cost of your solar photovoltaic (PV) energy system can be reduced by 26% with the Investment Tax Credit (ITC). This credit only applies to homeowners who purchase their solar system outright (with cash or a solar loan).

CPS Energy
If you’re a CPS Energy customer, you’re eligible to receive up to $1.20/W of solar panels on your roof. As more solar is installed, the incentive value drops.

Net Metering
While there isn’t a statewide net metering policy in Texas, many utilities in the state have policies that credit residents with solar systems for the excess energy produced from their solar panels. When the panels aren’t producing enough electricity to power your home (at night or on cloudy days, for example), residents can use their net metering credits instead of paying their utility company for electricity.
